User Login

Locktera Login Page DocumentationCopied!

Locktera provides a secure login experience through multiple authentication options. Depending on your organization’s configuration, you can log in using OAuth 2.0 (via Microsoft or Google) or email verification. Only the authentication methods configured for your organization will appear on the login page.

Login Portals:

  1. Global Portal: https://share.locktera.com

  2. UK Portal: https://uk.locktera.com

Login Options

  1. OAuth 2.0 (Microsoft or Google)

    • Sign in with Microsoft: Click the Sign in with Microsoft button to authenticate using your Microsoft account. This method uses OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication. Once selected, you will be redirected to the Microsoft login page, where you will enter your Microsoft credentials and complete any additional verification steps required by your account (such as Multi-Factor Authentication).

    • Sign in with Google: Similarly, click the Sign in with Google button to authenticate using your Google account. After selecting this option, you will be redirected to the Google login page to enter your credentials and complete any verification steps (if configured).

  2. Email Verification

    • If your organization supports email login, you can sign in using a code sent to your email address.

    • Steps:

      1. Enter your email address in the provided field.

      2. Click Send Verification Code.

      3. Check your inbox for the code and enter it on the login page.

      4. Once the correct code is entered, you will be granted access to your account.

Login Flow

Step 1: Select Your Login Method
  • Upon visiting https://share.locktera.com or https://uk.locktera.com, you will see the available login methods (Microsoft, Google, or email verification) based on your organization’s configuration. Only the authentication methods enabled for your organization will be displayed.

Step 2: Authentication
  • OAuth 2.0 (Microsoft or Google): After selecting either Microsoft or Google, you will be redirected to the respective authentication portal. Once authenticated, you will be returned to the Locktera dashboard.

  • Email Verification: After submitting your email and entering the verification code, you will be logged in and redirected to your dashboard.

Security Best Practices

  • Use Strong Passwords: When using OAuth 2.0, ensure that your Microsoft or Google account has a strong, unique password.

  • Enable MFA: For enhanced security, use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your Microsoft or Google accounts.

  • Email Security: If you use email verification, ensure your email account is protected with a strong password and MFA where possible.

  • Avoid Public Devices: Do not log in to Locktera from public devices, and if necessary, make sure to log out after your session.

Troubleshooting

Incorrect OAuth Credentials
  • Ensure you are using the correct Microsoft or Google account. If you are experiencing issues, double-check that you have access to the correct account and that your credentials are up to date.

Email Verification Code Issues
  • If you do not receive the verification code, check your spam or junk folder. If it still doesn’t appear, confirm you entered the correct email address or click the Resend Code option.

Configured Options Not Appearing
  • If a login option (Microsoft, Google, or email) is missing, it means your organization has not enabled that option. Contact your administrator to verify which authentication methods are supported.

General Login Issues
  • If you encounter persistent login problems, try clearing your browser’s cache, updating your browser to the latest version, or contacting your IT administrator or Locktera support.
